Description
Variations Sérieuses (Op. 54) is a piece for piano solo written by Felix. The composition is made up of a theme in D Minor with 17 variations. Though it is thought that Mendelssohn wrote 3 sets of piano variations, this is the only one to be published in his lifetime, after being completed in June 1841.
