Holds your arm away from the top so it doesn’t damp the tone. Attaches with a violin chinrest clamp, cork-lined to protect the finish. Tightening wrench included. Ebony armrest is about 3-1/2″long by 3/4″ wide. Nickel hardware. Does not fit all mandolins – bracket opens to fit a maximum mandolin thickness of about 1 3/4″.
