Composer Note:
My short works Sunset Longings and Sunrise Energy are a set of two contrasting companion pieces composed for the Double Entendre Music Ensemble, utilizing Baroque instruments.
It is preferable that the work Sunset Longings precedes Sunrise Energy as a concept of antecedent and consequent in character. As one might imagine, the first piece evokes the yearning of an individual for a certain outcome near the end of a long day. The next piece serves as an expectancy of a positive answer, in which the following morning is welcomed with much happiness and anticipation.
