Menzies Mike Seeger Grain Measure Tack Head Banjo (c.2003)

Description

This Menzies Grain Measure open back was custom made for Mike Seeger, and has a handcarved fretless cherry neck with a Dobson-style peghead, and a 12″ calfskin glued and tacked in place on a custom oak rim. The neck slopes to scoop at rim. It has ebony tuning pegs and a bone tailpiece. Hard shell case. All hand made by Jeff Menzies in Jamaica.
