Samuel Scheidt is best known in the musical world for his “Canzon Bergamasque” and “Galliard Battaglia.”This work was originally written for five voices and organ.It is lyrical and simple in form.There are sets of duets with a ritornello passage in between each.All instruments get an opportunity for some duet playing in this lovely melodic piece.
